The mission of the Open Source Education Lab is to get students involved in Open Source and this page details some of the resources available to you on the Oregon State University campus.

A Local Community

Folks are Oregon State University are involved in several on-going open source projects. Here is just a sample.

Linux Users Group

"The Linux Users Group is a group of mostly nerds. However, these are not your normal nerds. We are a highly active and self organizing group dedicated to advocating free and open source software (FOSS), mainly Linux, on campus." Information on meetings, mailing lists, and events can be found over at their website.

OSU Classes

At Oregon State we adopt free/open source software into the curriculum. More detail can be found on our page Classes Using Open Source.
